Autism Family Support – Children in Touch
A project of Children in Touch, an Oxfordshire charity supporting children and families across Oxfordshire. The Autism Family Support Project (AFS) offers information, advice and support to families of children and young people on the autism spectrum in Oxfordshire. AFS also runs a befriending scheme, weekly youth groups and school holiday activities for youngsters with high functioning autism and Asperger’s syndrome, training for parents, young people and professionals, and co-supports the ‘Oxford Aspies’ adult group (age 16+), which meets fortnightly in an Oxford city pub.

National Autistic Society (NAS)
A huge site with lots of information about autism, Asperger’s syndrome, the NAS and its services and activities, with an A-Z list of useful information sheets covering everything from education to social skills to visiting the dentist or hairdresser to benefits and much more. OASIS is an Oxford based parent led charity, which offers information and support to parents and carers of children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and also to professionals working in the field of autism. They organise holiday Play Days for autistic children and their families in Oxfordshire.
Oxfordshire Family Support Network
A parent-led organisation promoting the involvement of family carers working in partnership with professional and voluntary bodies across Oxfordshire. The parents of OXFSN offer their expertise and experience to support and advocate for families of children and adults with Learning Disabilities.
Oxfordshire Learning Disability NHS Trust Ridgeway Partnership
Ridgeway Partnership is one of the leading providers in the UK of specialist health and social care services for people with learning disabilities and other long term complex care needs.
The Trust specialises in providing services for adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, but also provide services to people with milder disabilities along with community based services for children.
The Trust offers a range of supported living, community teams, inpatient, step down and assertive outreach services across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Dorset, Bath and North East Somerset. Our headquarters are based in Oxfordshire and we currently support around 3,300 people.
Training Manager for the Aspire project in Brighton and Hove, a freelance trainer and consultant in Asperger Syndrome, autism and dyslexia and conference speaker at events in the UK and overseas. She delivers training and consultancy support to organisations and carries out adult assessments on those who believe they may have Asperger Syndrome, workplace assessments and consultancy to employers. She also provides coaching to adults and families of those with Asperger Syndrome and autism.
Thomley Activity Centre
Thomley Activity Centre is a recreational facility for disabled children, their families, friends, schools and groups, situated in Worminghall, where the borders of Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire meet. It offers wonderful indoor and outdoor play opportunities in a safe, enclosed and exciting environment, including sensory and soft play rooms.
